Electrical Substations

substation1Storm Water treatment systems for Electrical Substations

Hydroflux Industrial has extensive experience in the treatment of storm water from electrical substations including all aspects of system design and construction.

At Hydroflux, our engineers are fully conversant with the requirements for discharging storm water from substations, in particular transformer bunds where there is a reasonable chance of oil leakage.

Hydroflux design a range of oil separation systems, specifically designed for the treatment of storm water collected in bunded areas, including the new HY-SEP.SWZ system, which is a zero oil discharge oil separation system designed for installation the most environmentally sensitive areas.

Our complete knowledge of oil separation techniques and our understanding of substation design, will ensure that all Hydroflux Industrial systems are optimised and tailored specifically for your plant.

Oil Separators for electrical substations

The HY-SEP separator is a gravity separation device designed to remove free oil from water. When oil is present in the water phase, it exists in droplets of various sizes. As oil generally has a specific gravity less than that of water, the oil will rise to the surface. The rate at which the oil rises is calculated by applying Stokes Law. This formula calculates the rise rate of an given oil droplet based on the droplet size, the specific gravity and viscosity of the medium

HY-SEP.SW range sizing - for treatment of storm water run off

Hydroflux Industrial supply a comprehensive range of HY-SEP.SW systems for treatment of storm water run off containing oil. This system will achieve <5mg/L of free oil which is typically required for discharge
Model Number Application Capacity KL/hr
HY-SEP.SW1.0 Storm Water 1.0
HY-SEP.SW2.0 Storm Water 2.0
HY-SEP.SW5.0 Storm Water 5.0
HY-SEP.SW10 Storm Water 10
HY-SEP.SW20 Storm Water 20
HY-SEP.SW35 Storm Water 35
HY-SEP.SW50 Storm Water 50

HY-SEP.SWZ sizing - Zero oil discharge

Hydroflux Industrial supply a comprehensive range of HY-SEP.SWZ systems for treatment of storm water in envionemntally sensitive areas. The system will remove all oil from the storm water run off stream.
Model Number Application Capacity KL/hr
HY-SEP.SWZ1.0 Stormwater – Zero Discharge 1.0
HY-SEP.SWZ2.0 Stormwater – Zero Discharge 2.0
HY-SEP.SWZ5.0 Stormwater – Zero Discharge 5.0
HY-SEP.SWZ10 Stormwater – Zero Discharge 10.0

Our Services

Engaging a professional wastewater treatment company to look after the entire wastewater project is convenient, economical and hassle free option for industry.

Hydroflux Industrial can provide all process design works, manufacture and fabrication, construction and even complete operation of your wastewater treatment plant.

When Hydroflux Industrial provides complete solutions, we can either undertake a contact on a turnkey basis or work together with building services engineers and other construction professionals such as architects, structural engineers and quantity surveyors to ensure that the project is delivered smoothly, without interruption and on time.

The Hydroflux Group is able to offer a Build Operate & Transfer (BOT) option for water and wastewater assets in Australia and New Zealand. This innovative partnership arrangement strengthens existing strong bonds between Hydroflux and their customers for the long term.

Hydroflux, represented by a special purpose vehicle dedicated to the project, supplies the design, construction, financing, and operation of the water or wastewater plant. The plant is transferred to the client at the end of the contract, which is generally around 10 years.

Hydroflux also purchase existing water and wastewater plants on a similar basis, which releases cash to our clients for either returning or distributing to investors or for funding other investments in their core business.

The multidisciplinary structure of the Hydroflux group including design, construction, equipment supply and operation makes Hydroflux the ideal BOT water and wastewater partner.

Please contact Hydroflux if would like to explore the option of either acquiring a new water or wastewater facility without capital outlay or would like to free up cash by selling your existing water or wastewater assets.

Our employees and clients are our most valuable asset. Individuals make a difference. Knowledge sharing and teamwork make the difference
